This ragged economy, what to do? Empty
PostSubject: This ragged economy, what to do?    This ragged economy, what to do? EmptySun Sep 07, 2014 7:44 am

I see people n the left the last few years claiming success about the jobs numbers and the state of the economy.

They are in denial extreme. I'm not sure how they can put forth that tripe with a straight face, instead they should be ashamed by now at how wrong they were in electing such a fool to lead us.

So lets look:

The drop in unemployment since 2009 is almost entirely due to the fact that those not looking for work do not count as unemployed. Demographic factors explain less than one-quarter of the decreased labor force participation. The rest comes from increased school enrollment and more people collecting disability benefits. Over 6 percent of U.S. adults are now on Social Security Disability Insurance. This is no time to make it more difficult for businesses to create jobs

The American economy is experiencing the slowest recovery in 70 years

and its NOT because of the baby boomers retiring.

Unemployment has fallen because fewer Americans are looking for work, not because more Americans are finding jobs. Since the recession ended, job creation has only slightly exceeded population growth.

read the data. good stuff
http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2014/09/not-looking-for-work-why-labor-force-participation-has-fallen-during-the-recovery

however, im not going to argue that as point. in late 2007 and 2008 I made a prediction on the PNJ. I said if America elects the socialist Obama, business would be stifled because of fear of his actions. and its not just (small biznez)businesses, its people. people are also hoarding their cash.

I predict if we elect another socialist( dem or rep) as president in 2016, we can kiss the country bye, for real. Im not kidding. It may even be too late by then, we shall see.

The mighty American people are being oppressed out of fear. Hence we are wobbling along. If we start to feel free again, the nation will prosper no matter who is in office because its the people who make this country spin. I believe there is a direct correlation between the amount of freedom we have to our prosperity.

Oblamer has businesses so afraid of his communist tendencies they aren't investing as much as they could and are sitting on many billions if not a trillion in cash. They aren't paying workers enough either so the pitiful job numbers tell a lie - it's just a larger group of working poor. Look at the entitlement cost with 48M on food stamps and millions of others on welfare and SSI.

Correct...IF there were solid numbers the food stamp numbers would not continue to be that high...Now the SSI and Welfare numbers are not going to fall because there are so many that have received their entitlements... Also there is the group of individuals that have stopped looking and those that are now part time with no benefits...

Businesses have got to be waiting for an indication that there will be a positive environment created before they'll spend some of what they are sitting on...

Small business is not in trouble because of Obama, it is in trouble because we do not tax internet sales, and brick and mortar businesses are crippled by fees and licensing - by their cities, counties and state. Small government dooms the success of the entrepreneur before the doors ever open.

As for the unemployed…

cowh [name] healthcare hasn't helped businesses and that is directly the fault of the cowh and the democrats [it's their program]... Businesses did as predicted they would do...reduce employees...reduce hours in order to avoid paying benefits...and not attempt to expand until the healthcare fiasco became more clear as to what their options long range would be....The moves made then had a direct impact on workers that suddenly have become part-time and/or a cost increase to the consumers to absorb the increases.... This was/is horrible legislation that should never have been implemented and then when it was to grant the exemptions only worsened the situation...when Congress didn't want to go under the system and didn't want their staffs to be subjected--there was a clue....

Only if you decide to hire outside of the family. Otherwise you can always make them partners or shareholders and everyone shares in the reduced income.

If you talk to Social Security about a 100% disabled neighbor that bowls, cuts firewood, and lots of other things while he's on disability for back or other joint problems, they tell you, "my job is to sign people up for disability, NOT take it away from them".. There are law firms that fight to get you disability, but none to take it away from people that are getting it illegally..

Buy pre-owned when you can, raise and can your own food, make your own bread and pastries, attempt to become self sufficient as you can on energy consumption, barter for items when you can, don't buy the newest product just because, buy locally when possible, vote no to increased local taxes, etc, etc, etc,...

When the government and corporations see a significantly reduced income revenue they'll start screaming for reduced government spending.

Have y'all read about a program called Black Asphalt? More than 25,000 police have belonged to Black Asphalt, company officials said. A detailed Washington Post article here

Quote :
Behind the rise in seizures is a little-known cottage industry of private police-training firms that teach the techniques of “highway interdiction” to departments across the country.

One of those firms created a private intelligence network known as Black Asphalt Electronic Networking & Notification System that enabled police nationwide to share detailed reports about American motorists — criminals and the innocent alike — including their Social Security numbers, addresses and identifying tattoos, as well as hunches about which drivers to stop.

I bet any of you would give the police power to do anything legal if it meant saving the life of your mother, wife, or daughter. Politicians give the police the power and the voters give the politicians the power.. Vote for the politicians that will make you happy, but remember the problems that come from it is YOUR fault along with the others that voted for them...

Jake, do you think it is legal for cops to stop you in your motorhome and take the $2,000 cash you saved up to fund your vacation?

They can say you got your funds from drug deals and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it, except spend in excess of that to get your money back... with a lawsuit.

It isn't MY fault that shit like this happens.

You would lose that bet...I would not even bend the constitution to save my own life but liberals aka (the mentally ill), would do and allow whatever they are told is trendy and necessary by so-called authorities aka assholes........

http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/investigative/2014/09/06/stop-and-seize/

A thriving subculture of road officers on the network now competes to see who can seize the most cash and contraband, describing their exploits in the network’s chat rooms and sharing “trophy shots” of money and drugs. Some police advocate highway interdiction as a way of raising revenue for cash-strapped municipalities.

“All of our home towns are sitting on a tax-liberating gold mine,” Deputy Ron Hain of Kane County, Ill., wrote in a self-published book under a pseudonym. Hain is a marketing specialist for Desert Snow, a leading interdiction training firm based in Guthrie, Okla., whose founders also created Black Asphalt.

And now the rest of the story NOT shown in this clip.......

Incident occurred in Savannah Georgia on St Patricks Day

Police responded to several women fighting inside a red ford suv...there was also a male involved in the fight by hitting the vehicle and forcing the door open

Two officers arrive and force the man to the ground with baton strikes to the back of his leg...As the officer secured the man, one of the women [video female] bloodied from the fighting PUSHES the officer.  The officer chased her away with a baton strike to the legs.  After cuffing the male the officer approaches the female...

     -------------Video---------------------------------------

The officer pulls her back to the scene by the belt of her jeans and takes her to the ground beside the cuffed male participant.

The female was charged with Obstruction and Public Drunkenness which included pushing the officer while he was performing his duties.

The male charged with Felony for criminal damage to property [vehicle]....2 misdemeanors for Obstruction and Public Drunkenness

Cpl Aaron McKie [in video]  placed on administrative leave

Female sued the city of Savannah of excessive force.

Law Suite against the city----dropped.  Cpl McKie was returned to duty after an investigation [no charges]

Another reason to be open minded enough to look further than a video posted for sensationalism that doesn't include the entire events...but expect as much...

Information can be found at.... www.savannahnow.com   Search St Pattys Day fight.....   Perhaps the sites this was posted on have a lack of credibility....

Alcohol....stupidity....immaturity all played major factors for those involved. The others in the suv complied and had no complaints or charges.... Testified that the video female did indeed push the officer...they were her friends....

Justifiable fer sure NOT.  I call bullshit.  Rice is a criminal and these thugs were just doing their job.  BULLSHIT !

Glad see a 90 lb woman pushing a fat asshole makes her subject to having her face broken.

Guess little folks better learn that uniform clad gods can't be touched or challenged.   Police states are like that.

Call it what you will...the post information was from the Savannah paper....maybe they got it wrong?...There has to be something because even the facts aren't enough...too bad the video didn't take the time to show or explain the total circumstances....that may have prevented 'sheeple' from being free thinkers....

Perhaps a lesson was learned that a drunk shouldn't push an officer at all but especially when he is arresting an individual...Spin it anyway you like [and you will] minus the alcohol or anything else that may have impaired this individual the situation may not have happened...it was her choice...You use the word 'asshole' well you are correct in this case....and she was....

Don't know why Rice is even mentioned in this thread...and who's defended Ray Rice?...If that's the individual you are referring to....
