Yes they are. That is exactly why Israel should not carpet bomb the area. They should live up to their own reputation as an elite fighting force and search Gaza by ground. No one knows if those civilians invited Hamas into their houses. They should not be bombed because Hamas is occupying their property. The whole point is that there are other ways to prosecute this war but Israel is choosing the easiest way that guarantees the most civilian deaths. They are losing the high ground in the eyes of world opinion. That's not good for Israel in the long run.

What are you talking about.? Israel has sent in ground forces. In fact the ground forces destroyed a complete network o tunnels used by Hamas to attack Israel.

I know they did. But they still are trying to justify their killing of children at UN schools because they seem to see no moral problem with it. They should have put ground troops in from the beginning to attack the launching sites instead of knowingly killing kids.

You and I are not going to agree on this or on a lot of other issues. We come from two totally opposite belief systems. I'm not going to beat my head against your brick wall to try and convince you differently, because that is an impossibility.  The one undeniable fact is that world opinion is turning against Israel over this war.  Nothing said on here is going to change that.

The deaths belong to the Palestinians. The rocket attacks on Israel were well documented. Israel followed international law by filing formal protests. The attacks on them didn't stop; the attacks increased. Israel has a right to defend their Country from terrorists.

As for the world opinion...the media is doing a good job showing poor little Gaza children and civilians caught in the middle by Israel' defense against Hamas terrorists.

I'm not still pizzed about the Liberty, Teo, but I do remember it very well. And yes, I also believe the Israelis knew exactly what they were doing back then.
They got away with it. They will probably get away with the things they are doing now too.
But that does not mean they are immune to criticism.

If you look at the damages , the rockets are like hitting a bear with a feather.  The rockets are so impotent as to be worse than useless. They simply provide justification for Israel to use huge ordinance on mostly innocent people.

I know you don't have any sympathy for Hamas Tree, but I'd like to point out that 45% is not even a majority of the people who voted in the election. So the majority of people in that area did NOT vote for Hamas, yet they are taking the brunt of Israel's bombs.

Even if I don't agree with someone's philosophy, I can feel sympathy for kids who are playing on a beach one day and are blown to pieces by a rocket shell.

I didn't start the thread but I agree with it. Israel would like to be rid of all the Arab population in the middle east in the same way they would love to be rid of Israel. It works both ways.
