- A political committee leading a renewed effort to pass a constitutional amendment to legalize medical marijuana raised nearly $293,000 in June, with about $233,000 of the money coming from an Orlando law firm headed by prominent trial attorney John Morgan, according to a newly filed report.
The committee, People United for Medical Marijuana, is spearheading an effort to pass a medical-marijuana ballot initiative in November 2016, after narrowly failing to pass a similar constitutional amendment in 2014. They ought to just push for legalization and get this pussy-footing over with.

| The entire country needs the mellowing affect. Maybe put it out in the neighborhoods like the way the old mosquitos trucks worked to douse us with DDT.

| That reminds me of when Christine and I had sentinel chickens in our back yard. Sentinel chickens are bled occasionally and the blood is checked for antibodies to encephalitis. They also put mosquito traps in our yard to see how many mosquitoes were in the area. Mosquitos are the vector and one time, Mosquito control knew when they were going to do the trap thing. They drove their truck upwind on the nearest road, turned around, sprayed our area again, and again, and again. Damn! We were gassed right nicely. We were not going to have bugs for a while, that's for sure. Needless to say, it ain't scientific the way they tried to skew the trapping results. | |

| We got to eat the eggs. They were good and fresh, even after that spraying.
Of course, we had to keep the coop in good shape, chickens watered and fed... that sort of thing. The Health Department put up the coop and bought the feed.
There weren't any roaches that made it out of that coop alive, I guarantee it, lol.

Agree....should have been passed a long time ago and those that are in need should have already been receiving...BUT it's the government and when there's money involved....they are gonna get their cut and then some...

And all the LEOs that have sucked on the government War-on-Drugs teat are lobbying hard to keep from being weaned. Also, we cannot afford to keep so many non-violent offenders locked up, fed, and provided with medical services, while we turn violent offenders out into the streets because of prison overcrowding.

Really isn't an LEO issue although there are many if not most leo leaders opposing this....it's Medical and should be treated as such. Anyone that has had to watch a loved one die and knowing that this may not have cured but given some comfort understands far better than a bunch of government officials....There is no difference in the concern that there will be marijuana distributed out of control because if that was the case someone would have noticed and attempted to correct that Florida was/is the leader in prescription drug abuse cases/violations...

| Actually many LEOs support legalization, they know they are pushing a wet noodle up a hill enforcing some drug laws (that's their job you know, whether they agree with the law or not).
