CNN) -- Forensic tests have found the blood of Michael Brown on the gun, uniform and police cruiser belonging to Officer Darren Wilson, who fatally shot the unarmed teen two months ago in Ferguson, Missouri, The New York Times reported.
The revelation, provided by unnamed government officials familiar with a federal civil rights investigation, marked the first public account of Wilson's testimony to investigators.

That it could potentially serve as exculpatory evidence -- or at the very least, used by Wilson's supporters to back the officer's account of what transpired on Canfield Drive on August 9

A far cry from an innocent teen shot in the back....then being shot from a distance etc., ... The officer should not be indicted and there are plenty of people from the cowh...ag...media...and others that should be held responsible for making this situation even worse...

It doesn't matter if the officer is guilty or not......they want him charged. End of story!

Charging him and then have a jury find him innocent would do better for the community than not charging him.

Not charging him will only exacerbate the situation.

Expensive for officer Wilson, I know, but not as expensive as rebuilding after mobs burn half of the town.

Officer Wilson is not guilty it appears. Why should he be punished or financially penalized for doing his job?

If more thugs want to act like thugs then they might need to have their asses hauled off to the pea farm.

So it shouldn't be based on the facts/evidence but rather to appease the thug element?.... And Wilson should take on financial burden in order to try and make it look good?.... Makes no sense whatsoever and if thug mentality can influence and or shape this type of situation then there's no need for trials in the future...Too bad the media and others fanned the flames rather than reporting facts and waiting for evidence prior to a trial in the media...But to charge him for the sake of charging him is ridiculous...

Now the family may try the civil side [wrongful death] and that's not an unusual step to be taken in situations like this...Less of a burden of proof...

Might as well write the town off, then. And there will be comments here about lawlessness when indignant rioters take to the streets.

Let Wilson go without being charged and the people will hate cops more. Have a jury let him off and many people will begin to doubt Wilson't guilt because it wasn't the cops that made the decision to let him go free.

     If the end result is not their desirable decision will the town be any better off?. Does it matter if a Grand Jury doesn't indict or a trial and he's found not guilty?..... Why the need to attempt to appease?...Either there is sufficient evidence to support an indictment or there is not...When did we start becoming a system that is manipulated in order to make thugs/law breakers feel better?...If the system is manipulated to go to trial then there is suspicion/proof that the system can be altered for a desired outcome..... The thugs have nothing to do with the conversation because they will conduct themselves no matter any outcome...

    The initial comments on this thread deals with forensic evidence in this case...what more has to be proven because if these accounts are true the evidence supports the officers' account of the incident...Even though there is this evidence the thugs will not accept that either.... whether it's the conclusion of a Grand Jury or a Trial Jury......so what would be the next step to appease them....

Our justice system has always been manipulated.  It would be naive to assume otherwise.

But I see your point. There isn't much difference between a grand jury and a courtroom jury

      It appears the evidence in this case have outweighed the rumors and false reports....I did not call for any manipulation only have stated for the facts/evidence to speak on their own....Brings up a great point though and there will always be disagreement about verdicts but it does not excuse unlawful thuggish behavior and to attempt to appease/explain/defend this behavior as an excuse is unacceptable...

Believe that the Grand Jury information is being reported early on in an effort to prepare the public that Officer Wilson will not be indicted.... Seems to be a push to put out the evidence...but evidence is not going to make a difference and the Missouri National Guard had better be moving prior to the announcement being made...

It will be unfortunate that there will be injuries and probably loss of lives over an incident that was initially reported as an injustice.... All those from the cowh on down that commented/provoked/ incited prior to an investigation being concluded or the Grand Jury hearing those results have plenty of responsibility in the aftermath...

In this case the business owners and others that had nothing to do with this incident will be the innocent victims of these thugs...

They (Gub'ment) should emphasize the fact that the Grand Jury is made up of citizens that will review all the data in a more impartial setting... much like a jury would do... and keep hammering that it is out of the hands of the police now, and in the hands of the citizens to decide whether to charge Wilson.

Releasing snippets of evidence is okay, but if they cherry-pick the evidence to release, it will work against them.

Not to add to the problem..... but a Grand Jury is a little more secretive and behind closed doors but on the other side the emphasis is more evidence oriented as opposed to character issues/witnesses...
