DUI on a shopping cart! It seems like a stretch of the DUI laws. They must be taking pointers from Eric Holder and his interpretation of phone record snooping.
To me, a DUI ought to be based upon what kind of damage was possible. I mean, if the dude was driving a car or a truck, he could easily kill someone. A shopping cart??? not so much. Cops give DUIs for riding horses and bicycles drunk and I think that is too liberal of an interpretation of DUI laws.
Public intoxication, yes, Theft? Yes. And this guy had a pretty good rap sheet, so he needs to get slapped around, but DUI? C'mon!
