I bought a couple of original Bug-A-Salt guns through the Indiegogo system. Indiegogo is a crowd-funding platform where small entrepreneurs can gain funding for business ventures. You make "donations" to the campaign and with luck, you get a great deal on a product before it hits the market. It is a gamble, because lots of investors loose all they put into an Indiegogo campaign if it doesn't get fully funded, or if the entrepreneur is a shyster. Mine took a while to arrive after paying for them, but I got 'em eventually.
These cheap-ass "guns" are like bb guns, but you put some salt in a small reservoir and when you cock that sucker with a pump, it takes a pinch out of the reservoir (20-30 grains). You take the gun off safety, point it at a fly and pull the trigger. It is great fun in the summer when we're sitting outside around the table, snacking on cheese & crackers and drinking Margaritas. It is much easier and not as gross as swinging a nasty fly-swatter.
Anyway, they have come out with a version 2.0 that has more power. I am going to buy the "get two" option.
