The meteor shower will peak a week from Saturday, Aug. 11.

Also, if you have a smart phone, consider one of the night sky apps. When you hold your phone up to a particular place in the night sky, it will show you the constellation, stars and other objects you are seeing. I have SkySafari for iPhone as one.
