Gastrointestinal illnesses on the rise in Escambia County

I can't help but wonder if it's related to the poor hygiene I see every time I go to a public restroom. I am amazed at how often people use the facilities and don't wash their hands. I won't buy any food item that can be handled by the public. No buffets, no self serve donuts or rolls at the grocery store, no salad bar for me.

I'm sure poor hygiene has a lot to do with it, but we all use pretty good hygiene at work yet so many of us have been affected.

I thought I was skating through this recent bout, but I wound up in bed at 1900 last night and I just woke up. I felt like I had eaten an entire bushel of green apples. No other symptoms, just that pain.

Fortunately, I'm better this morning.

There is a bunch of Flu going around in the Birmingham area. I have no idea what this is specifically, but Christine said a coworker of hers has two strains of flu at the same time... a "winter flu" and a "summer flu".
