I think it was a joke- since he laughed after he said it.
I'm also pro death penalty and pro choice at the same time.  I don't see that the two conflict. Murderers deserve to die. Women have the right to make their own decisions about their pregnancies. It's the law and I don't think it is wrong.
Maher has never been as liberal as conservatives who hate him paint him to be.  BTW, he was for the Iraq war in the beginning.

I also do not think that population control is part of the democratic party platform, but I would have to look it up.
It's amazing all the stuff that goes out on talk radio.

I can't watch the video basically because I live in the boonies and effectively have dial up, so I'm not sure if we're actually talking about population control or Zero Population Growth... but,

ZPG used to be a Green Party tenet... not sure if it still is, but it used to be. I don't think it has ever been a Democratic Party thing.
