If Mitt ran in 2016. Would you vote for him?
If not, who would you vote for?

I'm not liking Rand Paul as much as I liked his dad. I like cruz a lot.
If Mitt won the primary would you still not vote for him even if it meant another socialist would take the white house?

If Romney wins the primary I would not legitimize the process by voting in it.....

He had his chance - I don't want to see a constant stream of lib media BS again. Problem is I don't see anyone worth having on the horizon. This election cycle will probably be like the last - voting against someone instead of for the other candidate.

That's exactly what it boils down to...voting against one/lesser of two evils.... If it's Hillary vs most anybody for me that's really not a choice...There are other candidates that will run but casting a vote for them is like not voting when the election laws are rigged against third party candidates in the primary and general elections..
The 'pro's' about Romney....He at least has an understanding of business and what is needed to create a business atmosphere for expansion and job creation and he can at least stand up and show that many of the things that he said would happen...and was mocked...ridiculed...criticized for have happened...some even worse that predicted...
The 'con's'.....been there been beat....Too timid in allowing the media to define him and actually made him seem ashamed of his financial success...

Yeah Rand Paul only makes the blind see again using his talents and extraordinary love free of charge to people suffering in other countries...but that Obama he can vacation golf and community organize....what a guy.

I did not vote for Romney last time and a leopard does not change his spots... I ain't voting for him anytime in the future. Ever. Rand Paul is better than the rest of those tools, but he ain't his daddy. I have no freaking clue who I'll vote for in '16. I am not one to abstain. Well, maybe I will be, but I never have before.

Don't care much for retreads either....There's time before and there will be many twists and turns before '16....Would appreciate some different choices too...

I really see very little difference between most of the candidates... bush, obama, mccain, hillary, romney... etc. They are all govt solution big govt shills... progressives in other words. I don't think things have any chance of changing unless we start getting an actual alternative to vote for.

Unfortunately for our country, I agree.
In '16, I'll be voting for the lesser of two evils.

Hillary would be a continuation/3rd term of the cowh... Like some governors because they've actually had to be the balance budgets....

I completely agree... all those named above are no different from each other to me. It was very sad to me when Ron Paul retired. He was smarter than all above dbags put together. I had high hopes for RP Gen 2, but he is not fulfilling my dreams for him to succeed his daddy. I could give two shits if he is a good public speaker or not (which was Ron Paul's primary downfall... poor public speaking skills)... I want him to be as smart, as effective... or better.

teo, rand paul is about to give millions more liberals their voting rights back that they lost by being convicted criminals.
Senators Paul and Cardin Unite for Discussion of How Best to Restore Voting Rights for Millions of Americans
Jul 22, 2014
Washington, DC - U.S. Senators Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ben Cardin (D-Md.) today hosted a briefing on solutions to end the disenfranchisement of individuals with past criminal convictions http://www.paul.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=1203
and then theres the lean towards illegals he has.
These two issues alone would finish off any hope of being able to vote ourselves out of socialism.
I voted for ron paul in the primary last time, but Romney in the end. And you may recall I didn't like who he chose as a running mate. I bitched about it. But I do think if it becomes between Romney and Hillary or warren, we would be doing the country a great disservice if we allowed our selfish pride to keep us from at least stopping some of our nations deterioration. That's what happened in the last election. People were not motivated for Romney. He is a dry un motivating man. and look what happened?
I know I wont change your mind. Im just speaking mine.
I too wish we had better candidates, but we don't now. We may not win the war in miles, we might have to settle for holding ground one inch at a time. IMHO

I had to look him up... had never heard of him. Learned this:
Quote :
When the state faced a budget crunch that forced many employees to go on unpaid furloughs, Gowdy funneled part of his campaign account into the solicitor's budget so his staff could keep working.
Gowdy worked on the Committee on Judiciary, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and the Committee on Education and the Workforce. Gowdy frequently speaks on the floor of the House on issues ranging from Fast and Furious to his support for the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act.
In 2012, he received the Defender of Economic Freedom award from the fiscally conservative 501(c)4 organization Club for Growth. The award is given to the members of Congress who have the year's highest ranking, according to the Club for Growth's metrics. Gowdy scored 97 out of 100, and was one of 34 congressmen given the award.

On March 4, 2014, Gowdy introduced the ENFORCE the Law Act of 2014 (H.R. 4138; 113th Congress) into the House.[24] The bill would give the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate both the standing to sue the President of the United States in a federal district court to clarify a federal law (that is, seek a declaratory judgment) in the event that the executive branch is not enforcing the law.[25][26] House Republicans argued that the bill was necessary because the Obama Administration refused to enforce the laws.

He was a federal prosecutor before elected office too... a very good one. He litigated the biggest cases... death penalty, racketeering, even political corruption. His style can be confrontational in dc... but that's his nature. I doubt he could ever win the primary... but only a fool would not take him seriously.

The problem is, is can Trey win a popularity contest, which is what our elections have become.
