What's going on with our county jail? Prisoners aren't being allowed to see lawyers.

I just read the article in the PNJ this morning and inmates are now claiming that they are being denied access to their attorneys. Several attorneys have verified it. The artlcle says that is a violation of Florida State law. This is already probably a cover up from the explosion and maybe a class action lawsuit but now our county might be risking paying out restitution to all the inmates who they aren't letting see their lawyers. They're making a bad situation even worse. They're also making it more and more obvious that something is being covered up. so they're essentially building a case against themselves.

This is our money we're talking about because we are paying the taxes in this county.

The commission needs to take charge even if it means a massive turnover in the jail staff. I don't know what the answer is but I don't need my taxes going up because some doofus at the jail refused to admit they smelled a gas leak.

At first glance it looks like stonewalling but the local ACLU said they don't think it's an issue because of the controls - inmates are scattered all over and there has to be a plan in place first. If an inmate had an attorney of record and was denied access that's one thing, if it's an ambulance chasing slug attorney trying to sign up inmates for lawsuits that's another thing entirely.

From past experiences most suspects/criminals all have lawyers....or at least that's their story...The ambulance chasers are probably ticked because they want to cut a deal as soon as possible...

The PNJ is reporting that access has been granted to Camp 5 prisoners.  I think I read that one attorney wants to talk to 22 prisoners... or some number close to that.
