| Happy New Year to you too Eric. I have a sense that this one will be better than the last, and 2013 wasn't any slouch either. I've enjoyed every minute of it. The older I get, the more I appreciate still residing on top of the dirt and still being able to play in the sandbox.

| We went to our former next-door neighbor's home for his annual New Years Eve party. Here's a couple of pics of his house and the festivities. The "ball drop" features 4' tall letters, a baby and the "ball" is an illuminated pacifier. He had some really neat (big) mortars this year, but I couldn't back off enough to get them in the pictures. His house... it was like living next to the Griswolds.     I have come to the conclusion that you cannot do justice to the fireworks display by taking pictures of it.

| That looks like a nice place to visit during the holidays but I wouldn't want to live next door.
