| My family gave me a ridiculously long lens for my Nikon. It looks like one of those $20,000 lenses you see at the sidelines of football games, but it was inexpensive. (a little over 1% of that) But I like it. Most lenses are 25mm (short) to @300mm (long) or are a zoom that allows for short or long capability. This lens is 800-1300mm and the tripod connects to the lens... not the camera. The camera hangs off the end of the lens!
