| Back in P'cola for the weekend. Mother Nature is dropping a nectar on the yard and our outdoor activities will be hampered somewhat. We haven't been down for three weeks and the grass transformed into an impenetrable tropical jungle. It is so thick, the lawn tractor bagger couldn't pick it up when I cut it yesterday. I thought I would leave it on the ground overnight and let it dry out some, then I could vacuum it up with the bagger. Not gonna dry out though. I hear there is a thing called a rake, but it won't fit my hand, he he. We need some sunshine... Here's wishing y'all a good weekend! | |

| Oh, and I left my laptop in Hoover, and it is not as easy to make posts with the iPad.
Y'all feel free to make up for my lack of content...

| Hey Pkrbum. Haven't seen you post in a while. I guess the other forum isn't on fire (all the flames).
I can tell when it gets hot and heavy over there. This refuge forum activity picks up a bit.

| So welcome back to non-sunny Florida, Eric! Talk about jungles.....my yard is an embarrassment. The winter didn't knock my passion flower vines back, so they are taking over. Grass is growing beautifully in my gardens, where it most certainly does NOT belong. And it's too darned hot to do much about it. | |

| It is raining again, but the good news is that it didn't rain much earlier. I got out there with the lawn tractor and vacuumed the piles up. The lawn tractor ejection chute pushes the litter into the bagger and if the grass is wet, it clogs in the pipe that leads to the bagger. I had to clean the pipe 20 times... but got it cleaned up. | |

| So..........why am I paying to have grass grow? Dammit! Doesn't seem fair guys. Anyone have thoughts on Dorian? I'm taking inventory as we speak. | |

Welcome back to the sunshine state Eric. Thanks, but we're headed back up to Hoover tomorrow. Unfortunately, we're here just for the weekend. Some sunshine, huh?

Anyone have thoughts on Dorian? I'm taking inventory as we speak. Dorian fizzled out. The NWS is no longer issuing any updates on it and it is not expected to strengthen.

| Yeah, I think they're calling it Invest1 now and give it 20% chance of becoming a tropical disturbance in the next 48 hours.
A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE...ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF DORIAN... IS PRODUCING AN AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT EXTENDS A FEW HUNDRED MILES NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHERN LEEWARD ISLANDS. THIS ACTIVITY IS FORECAST TO MOVE WESTWARD AT 15 TO 20 MPH DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS...PASSING NORTH OF THE LEEWARD ISLANDS AND PUERTO RICO TODAY AND MONDAY...AND MOVING OVER THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS AND SOUTHERN BAHAMAS BY EARLY TUESDAY. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE ONLY MARGINALLY CONDUCIVE FOR REGENERATION...AND THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...20 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS. AN AIR FORCE PLANE IS SCHEDULED TO INVESTIGATE THIS DISTURBANCE LATER TODAY.
