A Jay woman was arrested after kicking in the door at her boyfriend’s house and beating him with a golf club Saturday morning, according to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office news release.
The incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. when Tristin Watson, 24, was on the phone with her boyfriend and the conversation became heated.
Watson’s boyfriend hung up on her, and Watson proceeded to drive to his home in Jay, kick in the back door and hit him twice in the face with a golf club, according to the release.
Her boyfriend fell to the ground and was able to get the golf club from Watson, but Watson continued to punch him in the face. Watson then took a few hundred dollars from her boyfriend’s wallet, left him lying on the floor and fled the scene.
Watson’s boyfriend had bruising and swelling around his left eye and forehead, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Watson was located by deputies at a residence in Pace, and she confirmed that she attacked her boyfriend with a golf club after entering his home.
Watson was charged with home invasion robbery, burglary, felony battery and petit theft, and is being held in the Santa Rosa County Jail with no bond.
