OK, Writ, I see you hanging out at the bottom of the screen! Come on up and let's talk! You have four days to go before you hit Progressive Thursday.

Now, PB, you know it was not "progressive" Thursday.  It was "liberal, let go and let government, groovy, care free" Wednesday.  Good grief, you not only changed the day, but the term used to describe the hipness that it is.  

Tell you what, I'll consider extending the time frame from Wednesday to include a large portion of Thursday, (due simply to the fact that we have "progressed" so much in recent years in terms of the IRS, CIA, DIA, FBI, Department of Defense, Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and Library of Congress, [I know the Library of Congress has not yet made headlines, but it's just a matter of time] so we will have plenty of time to breath deep, reflect, and dig the hipness of the liberal lifestyle. 

Until then, I'll just try to endure, and continue in my attempts to explain to the younger generation who Joe Biden is.

WritLarge is not responding to his Wednesday assignment. Perhaps he is choosing which outfit to wear. He could always dress like George Clinton. That would be quite liberal.

EDIT:  Let's just hope Writ doesn't choose to dress like one of Clinton's band members. A man wearing a diaper is only acceptable on stage.

At my 60th birthday party, I was given a box of Depends.  Nope.  Ain'ta gonna wear one of those... even over my clothes.

Some guys did put 'em on, though (I wasn't the only one turning 60).

I spent the day with my Guru, reflecting on the meaning of life.  Seemed like a fairly liberal thing to do since it was raining. Very relaxing.

About the same. But my Guru had to go home early before her husband came home.

I went to a liberation clinic, Writ.  They taught me the failures of my thinking and how I should be enlightened.  We smoked awesome sweet smells, lit candles and enjoyed the atmosphere with all it has to offer.  Life is awesome.  We need not be a part of it!!

I dread the day you guys come up with Conservative day.....I shall have to rummage through my closet and find a suit, eh? But will I have to listen to Barry Manilow? Oh, dear.....!

Crack me up Melissa. I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan and can remember being "scared" literally at one of their concerts as we had 4th row seats and the aromas after 4 days of finals were just TOOOOOOO much!

My Dad in later years asked my daughter what music I liked and she responded Barry Manilow??!!!!

Oh no. Liberal Day is a weekly event. It used to be every Thursday, until WritLarge moved it to Tuesday. It starts right after midnight on Tuesday and ends at midnight on Wednesday.

During the 24-hour period, you are free to be as liberal as you can be. Sing, dance, get really long hair extensions for yourself and Paige. Wear beads. Smoke it if you got it. Plan for a trip to Bangladesh. Or just have a trip and think of Bangladesh. Whatever suits your lil' daily liberal heart.

Reading books by Hunter S. Thompson would be a plus, too.

Go online and read all about Abby Hoffman. Learn from him, and use his tricks on an upcoming Liberal Day.

Whewww....I am tiring of thinking of events, but I'm sure I will think of more.

I just read on Wikipedia that he was contemptuous of hippies. That's odd, especially for someone so "far out".

If I remember correctly, the day of liberalness was changed due to a scheduling conflict.  I believe the  scheduled event called for a certain amount of social decorum that would be contrary to any activity deemed suitable on liberal day.

Yes, Mr. Large, I believe the circumstances as you relate them above are correct. You had a conservative thing you had to do that Thursday. We here at the Liberal Day Headquarters were well aware that you were trying to suspend your voluntary participation by feigning intense conservativeness.....jury duty, wasn't it?......but we kept you on board because we think you are capable of rehabilitation.

However, I do like the phrase "Day of Liberalness." That's almost as classy as "Occupy Wall Street." Perhaps we shall change the name of the event.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, like to think I'm fully prepped, but tomorrow is my Daughter's Bday and she's totally unenlightened.  May have to feign the alternate conservative universe in her honor.  Sigh.......
