At Olive Garden Last Night... saw something pretty convenient...

On each table, they had a little screen thingy called a Ziosk.  You could order and pay at the table.  It had a standard card reader and even spit out a receipt.  It sure made things more convenient.

We ordered meals through the waiter, but ordered Tiramisu on the Ziosk.  The waiter brought it out a few minutes later.

They have those at Chilis also...pretty neat...even prints out your receipt....can the robots be far behind ?

They have a camera on them, so they can watch you eat!

Played some games on the 1 at a Chili's and got charged for it.

Three years ago we were at a "test" table at Applebees in Columbus, Ga. The server was all excited about the new technology. "It's so cool," she said. My husband replied, "Well you do realize this cool thing will take over your job?" Her countenance fell.

Thought the same thing.....would this be the answer by restaurant owners in locations where there is/has/will be an increase in the minimum wage?....
