Baltimore....

The Mayor of Baltimore should already have been removed from office....allowing for this mess to continue for so long [without declaring a state of emergency and not  asking for assistance]  and then to add that the rioters have been given more space for their safety.. So somehow in her delusional mind the police were in place to protect the rights of the looters/rioters/thugs?....Allowing businesses to be looted/destroyed and for the packs of thugs given free reign to commit crimes is not sound policy and the mayor disgraced herself and the office she holds...

    The Police Commissioner should also follow the Mayor out the door...to place officers in harm's way with no strategy or plan is a disgrace...He admitted that the thugs 'outflanked' his officers which makes he and his tactical advisors incompetent and this incompetence allowed for injuries to several officers and what will be millions if not billions worth of damages and/or lost revenues....News footage clearly portrayed the thugs throwing bricks/blocks/cement/bottles  at officers and they did noting but to attempt and block with their shields...

     There was an interview with one of the rioters/thugs:
      "They [Police] shot me twice with beanbags"...Thug then raised shirt and exposed two injuries to his sides.
      What were you doing at the time of being hit with the beanbags?
      "Just protestin and running away"
       Where there people throwing things at the Police"
      "Yeah...yeah they was throwing stuff...yeah we were throwing stuff...ah...they were throwing stuff"
     
    Another classic line from one of the upstanding citizens in the area when interviewed...
    With all that is going on here in your neighborhood these actions cannot be good for anyone...the citizens that live here or the businesses that are being looted and destroyed can it?
    "That's right...it ain't good for anyone but I can understand the anger of the young black men...about 95% of them have been involved with police brutality"
     How do we move forward from this and who will be responsible for the damages?
     "The government will have to pay"

I suspect the violent rioters have no social interest in peace but are using this incident as an excuse to loot. Just like Ferguson where most of the violent rioters did not even live in Ferguson.

What an amazing citizen that sees through all the crap and calls it exactly how it is!...Too bad there are so many others that lack the intestinal fortitude of this individual...

I get a bit skeptical when the talking heads rationalize rioting by lamenting the blight and lack of opportunity in those areas. Who in their right mind invests in an area that has such high crime rates? I just heard on npr that the police presence is disproportionate between black and white neighborhoods. Well duh... so is the crime. How do you ignore that? Isn't there a little voice in their heads that whispers the truth?

When fingerpointing begins.....the blame goes everywhere except towards the thugs that conducted themselves in a criminal manner...Oh, sure many will quickly point out that they don't 'condone' the behavior and then turn around and go on a rant making excuses and or explaining what they say they don't condone....
