They bring up a good point, though. "Various state and regional surveillance centers are pooling the collected ALPR data from various cities or counties into mega-databases, allowing local, state and federal law enforcement to track ordinary motorists’ movements without any kind of judicial oversight—all with the click of a button."

Did you see the article where the FAA is being inundated with license requests from various agencies for licenses for drones? They have become so inexpensive that everybody is buying them
