Pale Moon browser Empty
PostSubject: Pale Moon browser   Pale Moon browser EmptyThu Sep 06, 2012 10:53 am

Hay anyone tried the new Pale Moon Project browser? I downloaded it some time ago, but didn't use it because, like Chrome, I couldn't view the PNJ.

Anyhow, I opened Pale Moon a couple of days ago. It's fast and lean, so I decided to install the most recent update. My computer said it needed to restart to install it.

My computer crashed. It took about an hour to get it to start again, and even then I had to go back to a prior restore point.

Has anybody else had a similar experience with Pale Moon? I'm afraid to even open the older browser now.

I tried it once but did not find it very useful so I deleted it. When I was using it, it never caused any of the issues you describe.

Thanks, Ghost. I've had problems with my computer not starting before, but those episodes were never related to anything I could identify. This was the first time.

Pale Moon is really fast, I'll give it that. I liked that it was leaner than Firefox.

EDIT: I take it back - I tried to delete the WeatherBug program one time, and my computer shut down in a similar fashion. My computer has some sort of problem with installing and uninstalling programs, obviously.

Weather Bug is kinda tricky to get rid of. I had problems uninstalling it also. Once I got it deleted, I had to clean my registry to make everything related to Weather Bug disappear.

Here is a tool that will help you uninstall it.

Though Weatherbug is not considered spyware it is definitely ad-ware thus that is why it is so hard to remove.
