Severe Weather Expected Tomorrow

Schools are closing and people are battening down the hatches. With a strong cold front coming and with the current hot weather before the front, it's gonna be a nasty day tomorrow here in Birmingham.

I'll bet it will be rough on the coast too.

Just priced shutters...yeouch.

After losing my first home, I spent years traveling to try and find a place that's safe. Guess what? There is none.

You couldn't be more right on about there not being anyplace that is truly safe... When we moved to the gulf coast we were totally freaked about hurricanes and locals thought that was the strangest thing having come from earthquake country. Then I moved to tornado country in the middle of Kansas... same deal. Everywhere has something.

We got a bunch of lightning and some straight-line winds in Hoover, but it wasn't too bad.

I did have two shivering puppies in my lap at the height of the lightning, though.
