Hahaaaa.....I have that same hairdo right now, though I've changed it so many times over the years. Hallmark and Jake can verify that! I jjust got plumb tired of having to get it styled every two months, so I went back to long, just like ol' Grace Slick did.

All of us did! The little one in the front was the only blonde in the family.

How well I remember the time I cut her hair. She was about nine. I was "practicing" to be a beautician.

I couldn't get the cut even on both sides, so I cut, and cut, and cut some more. At the end, she looked like she had a curly bowl on her head. I was sooooo upset!

She looked up at me with her big, blue eyes and asked, in her own sweet way, "Am I pretty now?"

I almost cried. Mom had to take her to a REAL beautician to fix her up.

That was the day I gave up my childhood dream of being a beautician.

What a sweetie she must have been.
