I'm sold on the Honda 1,000, 2,000, and 3000 generators... the QUIET ones. We had a 3,000, but it was too heavy to lug around. We got the 2,000 and on standby or very low demand, it will run for 9 hours on a gallon of fuel. Mine also outputs 12V DC as well. It carries like a suitcase.

We had a contractor generator and it was noisier than the old lawnmowers... sold that rascal.
