Moss Rock Preserve Empty
PostSubject: Moss Rock Preserve   Moss Rock Preserve EmptyTue Jan 22, 2013 11:09 am

I am an amateur photographer. Yesterday, I went into the Moss Rock Preserve, a 350-acre park behind my house here in Hoover, AL. When you see the pictures, you will understand how the Preserve got it's name.

The area behind my house has stunted pine trees growing out of solid sandstone. This rock area is solid and water doesn't penetrate it... flowing on the surface instead.

This area is a photographer's delight because the textures are wonderful... even in the winter. I was trying to get a "tilt-shift" look to most of the photos... where parts are in focus and parts are out-of-focus.

Wow, those are amazing, EE! VERY much reminds me of a lot of the rock formations in the high Sierras, which is sorta strange considering how different the geology is.

Do you mind if I forward the link to my folks? They would really enjoy seeing these pictures and knowing that they're from Alabama, of all places!

No problem, sweetie. I'm just an amateur, no copyright intended.
