Sharpton said, “we need the Justice Department to step in and take over policing in this country. In the 20th century, they had to fight states’ rights in — to get the right to vote. We’re going to have to fight states’ rights in terms of closing down police cases.”
The Tenth Amendment of the Constitution unequivocally delegates authority to the people:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

| If someone thinks it's hard making a case against possible police abuse at the local level... Just imagine what it'll be like if they're all mobilized as a federal agency? *****CHUCKLE***** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjDqR6fCkpY |

| To be absolutely honest, the issue of state's rights was determined forever in 1865 when the South surrendered after the civil war.
If states could be trusted to legislate only bills and laws that they know will confirm to the US Constitution, it would be a different matter. Time after time after time states pass legislation (such as new rules prohibiting abortion rights, new rules restricting voting rights to minorities, and new rules such as those against IRS and healthcare regulations) that they put forward just to placate the voting block that does not understand that neither they nor their state governments are in control of deciding the civil rights of other citizens. These uninformed voters are happy that "their state" isn't going to take this "sh__" from the Federal guv'mnt any more and they continue to foolishly reelect their state representatives and Senators, as well as governors, because they are just too stupid to know when they've been listening to a lot of hooey about how the State can decide a civil rights issue. Look at the stupidity going on in Texas right now. Apparently their governor has called out the national guard to spy on Special Services training going on in that state. The governor says that he is protecting Texans from being taken over by Obama. I'm sorry, but how stupid can you get? Does anybody in Texas believe the governor is really worried about that? Unfortunately , yes. The governor knows that and is pandering in the worst way to the dumbest citizens of his state. Texas right to secede ended when the Southern states decided they could enslave their citizens and then the South lost the war. The feds made it clear who is in charge. States rights ended again when then Governor George Wallace thought he could keep segregated schools. He knew better because, surprisingly, Wallace wasn't as stupid as he sounded. But he earned the love of the least intelligent voters in his state when he told them they could do what they wanted to do. State's rights end every time there is a real showdown, but the voters in the states are just too unaware of how things work in this country to understand when something is OVER. America requires we be Americans first and Floridians second and has the military strength to enforce that. All the crying in the world won't change it.
It's way past time this country moved on to more important issues that we might actually be able to change. I don't know how it can happen with the electorate we have now though. Nearly no one in this country really knows how their government actually works.

| Vote for Eagle for President and I'll give you all the civil rights that a progressive could desire, and more, with my first few executive orders. *****CHUCKLE***** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p99a6K81zqM |

| Ideally... A state should be able to try almost any policy that the people agree with. If you don't like it... move to another state. We see constantly states pass far left progressive policies and we're beginning to see troubling fiscal results. Why are they allowed to fail... but a state that doesn't wish to have or by default endorse (pay for) abortion is the problem? That's just another red herring... it doesn't infringe upon anyone's rights more than say raising their taxes to pay for other peoples upkeep. | |
