We rented a home before Christine and I were married. Were married there.

It had a big asparagus bed. Loved it. It was a nice house when we were married 36 years ago.

Unfortunately, it looks like a dump now.

The asparagus was good, though.

Yesterday, I picked a dozen bell peppers for Cindy to make stuffed peppers.. She is a great cook.. 2 weeks ago, my primary dr told me I have to go on a diet because I'm getting overweight!!!!!!!..... 5'5 1/2" tall, 34" waist, and 170 pounds does not sound overweight to me..

You're not overweight, man.

Statistics show that when you get older... and let's face it, we are... skinny folks have a lower life expectancy than people that carry a FEW extra pounds.

I read that on the internet, so it has to be true, y'know? The same article said that, when you reach age 60 or so, if you aren't obese, adding 10 pounds a decade doesn't hurt your chances of survival... if all other things like exercise remain normal.

Cindy and myself keep busy outside working like crazy in the yard... I just cut a 11" or so branch out of a tree last week.. It was sitting until this morning, but now it's cut to firewood size, stacked, and the brush is on the side of the road for the trash man tomorrow.. We dug up enough roots in Aug-Sep to keep the fireplace going 24 hrs a day for a week or so.. Now there are flowers where the roots used to be....
