Have seen it too many times....some students have a line in the sand and it's their cellphone...they will take a suspension or another form of punishment...and will fight a teacher/dean for taking their phone due to a school rule violation...Then once they fight a school official then they've got a felony battery charge/conviction on their record and getting expelled from that school or any school in that county... all over having their phone taken which they can reclaim at the end of the school day...When speaking to them they are convinced that it is their right to have and keep possession of their phone and no one has the right to take it from them under any circumstances.....

I hope they charge him as an adult.

In almost every situation like this....there are those that watch and/or encourage the attack and those that video to post on some social network...there is absolutely no fear for these actions and certainly no consequences...The judicial system continues to be far behind on dealing with thugs...

Only because there are to many who don't want to get involved...
