Is it Saturday Yet?

It is 5:00 somewhere. (I just HAD to make sure the Margaritas are good, y'know. )

The ribs are about finished with their steaming on the Orion cooker (1 hour). Time to light the smoker.

Surprise guest might be making an appearance…and it ain't Tater Salad.

Daddy likes surprises.

This is right out of the steamer and resting in the smoker.

I put Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce on 'em and am proceeding to smoke 'em at low temp.

Looking yummy, but I use Viper BBQ sauce.. It's made locally in Fairhope.. It's available in a few local stores like Joe Patti's and the Apple Market in P'Cola..

Dear God, I may have just sinned. I drooled when I saw that. I may need a cold shower.

I'm leaving in 5 minutes or so.. See you soon with the baked beans...

OMG..........I swear I could smell those ribs.

A Picture is worth a 1,000 words.. An evening with Eric and his bride is always a very memorable event....Great food, great People, Great Music. It was a good night. Thanks to everyone.

SheSurf's potato salad wasn't placed on the table yet. It was wonderful too.

And HG's eclair cake with triple chocolate ice cream wasn't brought out until later... very good as well.

Eric, thanks to you and Christine for hosting the event. It was really generous and it was great meeting everyone who posts entertaining and mind-bending ideas here. I have always like the idea that a forum allows people to share opinions and perspectives that they might not find elsewhere…or might not say in person. So, it's fascinating when you meet the real people behind the screen names. This is truly a great bunch.

The only thing more awesome than the ribs was the company.

It was a fantastic event. Eric and his wife are great hosts. We had some great discussions(all Civil) and met some of the other forum members. Listening first hand about what people have done and are doing with their lives is nothing short of amazing. This forum is a great place. Many thanks to all of you for sharing your stories....
