UN: OK to Use Untested Ebola Drugs in Outbreak

The World Health Organization declared it's ethical to use untested drugs and vaccines in the ongoing Ebola outbreak in West Africa, although the tiny supply of one experimental treatment has been depleted and it could be many months until more is available.

The last of the drug is on its way to Liberia for two stricken doctors, according to a U.K.-based public relations firm representing Liberia. The U.S. company that makes it said the supply is now "exhausted." Later Tuesday, Canada said it would provide some of its experimental Ebola vaccine for use in West Africa.

Hell yes I would. I think I mentioned in an earlier thread that I'd gladly volunteer to be a lab rat if I was diagnosed. I think anyone in their right mind would... trouble is, you might not be in your right mind if you had ebola.

As fast as Ebola progresses, you probably need quick diagnosis and treatment "yesterday".

Yep, Id take it If I had it already. But not as a precaution, such as what most vaccines are used for.

Take note though.

Once they declare that untested DRUGS and VACCINES can be used in a situation, it just gets easier and easier from that point forward to use untested drugs and vaccines.

I ain't takin chit...I would rather die from a good ole virus than from some genocidal vaccine these new world order jerks are pushing....

good point. taking it could ruin the 20% chance I might have. its hard to say what I might do if I was laying on my death bed.

You have to understand, Tree, that Teo lost a granddaughter to a vaccination. He has a valid reason for his detest of vaccinations.

Yeah, bleeding out every orifice. When I refer to taking a drive up into the mountains, I mean with a pistol. I'm not religious so I'm not askeered of going to hell. 'Cos there ain't one.
