| I thought this HAD to be some kind of April Fools joke, but it doesn't seem that way. http://www.theverge.com/2014/4/20/5634132/us-regulators-approve-powdered-alcohol - Quote :
- Putting a can of beer in a brown paper bag is about to look like child's play. A new product that's somehow been approved by US regulators makes booze as discreet as a packet of sugar. It's called Palcohol, and it transforms a shot of vodka or rum into a pocketable pouch of powder. Tear it open, add some water, mix, and you've got hard liquor...
That would be GREAT for concerts!!!

| Well, the announcement was a bit premature.
Apparently, there is a problem with the way the product will be labeled.
My guess is that makers of regular alcohol found something to nitpick and brought that up to the regulators.

| I saw that report on the news yesterday too, along with a report about the Japanese selling "vegetable ice cream."
I can believe people will buy powdered alcohol very easily. It would be great to take a trip down the river tubing with. Just bring along your fresh water and some powdered alcohol. Now vegetable ice cream is a different subject altogether.
There's something seriously wrong with a culture that would even consider such a thing. Or with anybody that would consider such a thing. |
