Obama lies about NSA, then goes on vacation...

As an American, this is downright embarrassing.

As Obama swears the NSA is ONLY involved in counter-terrorism information gathering, the whole world knows this is a damn lie.  Here's a short excerpt from the article that is linked above.

It's amazing how quiet the liberal media in this country is about this probably illegal program. Reuters is not so shy:

(Reuters) - "Eight Democratic senators and congressmen have asked Attorney General Eric Holder to answer questions about a Reuters report that the National Security Agency supplies the Drug Enforcement Administration with intelligence information used to make non-terrorism cases against American citizens."

As one easily see from the NSA mission statement what they are doing reads nothing like what they are SUPPOSED to be doing:

"The Information Assurance mission confronts the formidable challenge of preventing foreign adversaries from gaining access to sensitive or classified national security information. The Signals Intelligence mission collects, processes, and disseminates intelligence information from foreign signals for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes and to support military operations. This Agency also enables Network Warfare operations to defeat terrorists and their organizations at home and abroad, consistent with U.S. laws and the protection of privacy and civil liberties."

I have to wonder how deep all this domestic spying is going and what other agencies are involved (IRS, etc). Apparently oversight means nothing anymore.

Does anyone believe that Holder would would be truthful about information gathered?....The cowh has said in interviews/speeches that there is no spying on citizens...how thruthful has he been?...These kinds of stories aren't going away and seem to be growing on a daily basis and yet there are still no answers or explanations being given by this administration...

Maybe they're hoping it will just blow over.
