| Subject: Clerk helps innocent man get freed... gets fired. Thu Aug 22, 2013 11:39 am | |
| It is honorable to be loyal to your employer... up to a point. It is better to do the right thing. A scumbag judge fired a clerk for helping an innocent man get freed after serving 30 years behind bars for a rape he did not commit. You would think that a judge would be interested in JUSTICE. A link to the story - Quote :
- Five days after Nelson was released, Court Administrator Jeffrey Eisenbeis took Snyder into Byrn’s office near closing time and told her the prosecutor and defense attorney “had a problem” with her involvement in the case. She was suspended without pay, ordered to stay out of the courthouse unless she had permission to be there and scheduled to meet with a human resources investigator June 20. [...]
Byrn fired her June 27, telling her she had violated several court rules by providing assistance to Nelson and talking about aspects of the case, even while under seal, to attorneys not involved in the matter. Crap like this just makes my blood boil. The judge denied an earlier motion for DNA testing because the motion wasn't written to his liking. This judge fired her for helping the innocent man file a proper motion. I guess he didn't like her going behind his back and undoing his decision. Justice be damned! An innocent man spends 30 frigging years in jail and this judge and prosecutors didn't give a damn! | |

| Some things just aren't right, sounds like the judge had a personal interest in the case | |

| Sounds like the judge and the prosecutor don't want any blemishes on their record. | |
