This was one of 28 shootings in Chicago since 6 p.m. Friday. Six people were killed. Police said shootings were down slightly from this same weekend in 2012, when there were 34 shootings and seven murders.

And yet there is too much silence on this issue not only in Chicago but elsewhere...Politicians talk boldy about gun control...The NAACP...Black Caucas...Black Panthers...Jesse Jackson...Al Sharpton...and others are QUICK to seize upon any opportunity to exploit a crime when it serves their purpose for race baiting but are quiet when a situation happens where it's the reverse of their agendas...So they really aren't concerned with crime/violence etc., they are only concerned with attempting to keep themselves relevant and in the public eye....sadly they had the media in the Zimmerman Case that was not only willing to cover their slanted agenda but 'edited' (lied) to support the race baiters...Zimmerman was posecuted/sentenced in the media prior to even going to trial...These same individuals are more concerned with dividing peoples rather than dealing with the problem of violence...Innocent deaths in Chicago have no importance compared to a chance to create a racial situation where there was none....

Last nights toll in Chicago: 12 shot, 1 fatally, across city since Monday evening

A dozen people were shot, one of them fatally, across the city in a 10-hour period starting Monday evening, authorities said.

And a 15 year old was arrested for shooting the 7 year old kid mentioned earlier.

Criminals in Chicago don't seem to have a problem getting illegal guns yet the government wants to control ownership of guns for law abiding citizens. This country is turning into a freak show.

Chicago isn't on my bucket list. Neither is the Western part of Birmingham (10 miles away).
