I'm having problems posting gifs anywhere. I found some for youTeo and none will move.

Instructions on how to post a gif. (They're different because the hosting software here on the forum wants to change imported and "hosted" images to .jpg files... and you want it to remain as a .gif.)

(Some web sites don't let you copy their content, but if it will, do the following) Right-click on an image and select "copy image", then go to the forum post area and right-click and select "Paste". That should do it.

If the image is on your hard drive, navigate in Windows "explore" to that image and right click on the file name, select "Copy", then go to the forum post window and right-click and select "Paste". That should do it.

There is a different way to post to this forum too. It is harder, but it'll work too. Before I learned to just copy and paste a gif in a post, I would go to the web site that had the gif and right-click and select "copy image location" as highlighted below.



Then go to the forum where you type your forum posts, and paste the copied image location between the bracketed img instructions as shown here.



Preview it if you wish or just hit "Send" and it will post it. Essentially, the img instructions tell the forum to go to the web site, get the image off the web and display it as a forum post.

Eric, I have posted gifs. and I am using the host it button. what i have been doing is saving them to my comp, then selecting it from there. then when I hit host, it comes out as a jpeg.

ive been on a different laptop for the past couple of weeks, do you think it could be something in my settings?

or could it be the porn sites im trying to steal the pics from

As I tried to say in a post above, the hosting process converts gifs into jpegs. Simply find the file name in windows explorer, right-click on it, copy it right there, and pop it into the forum post with a right-click and "paste".

Porn sites are notorious for malware... and juicy pictures too!
