Block asshole drivers that drive down the breakdown lane during a traffic jam, that is.

I do it and they still run in the grass and flip me off when they go by.. During Opal, the truckers were blocking everything on I-10 to keep the impatient assholes from doing it..

While we were driving to Mobile not long ago, my husband saw a driver in the rear view mirror. The guy must have been doing 80 or 90 mph, and he was passing everyone and weaving in and out of traffic.

One of the two 18-wheelers that was were directly in front of us pulled into the left lane. The two trucks then drove side-by-side for about five miles. By doing so, they blocked the impatient driver who was by then in the left lane close to us.

We laughed and laughed!!!!

The idiot driver probably passed another 18 wheeler behind you that passed the info about him over the CB..

The impatient idiots do that at a lot of intersections... I hate Davis and Brent where there is NO right on red but they still make right turns from both right hand lanes on southbound Davis..

Going West down Barrancas right before Gulf Beach Highway, only the center lane goes straight. Traffic backs way up and people patiently wait in the queue to go straight, and during rush hour in the pm, there is always one, two, or three people that go all the way to Gulf Beach Highway then try to butt into the center lane.

If a car has an Escambia County tag or an Alabama tag that starts with a 5 (Baldwin County), I ain't lettin' them in...

I do it -- it is extremely irritating to me -- but only when I've ensured I have an "out" if an emergency vehicle comes through and I need to quickly get my ass out of the way. I also swing a little wide when I have to wait to make a left turn on a 2-lane road in effort that dangerous drivers do not speed around me. That really ticks me off too.

Instead of swinging wide on turns, if visibility is good and traffic is nonexistent, I cut my turns early to let following traffic get by me. They aren't like the assholes butting in line or driving in the breakdown lane.

The bottom line is driving with courtesy!!!!!!!!!!

I have a habit of looking at Tractor-trailer rigs in the right lane when I am overtaking in the left lane on the Interstates. If it looks like they are coming up on a slow car, and if I have no one behind me, I'll slow down and flash my lights so they can get into the left lane in front of me and pass the slow-poke. Sure, it slows me down a bit, but those truck drivers do this crap all day and appreciate a little courtesy. (They'll flash their tail lights in a token of appreciation.)

If I am already even with their back bumper, I'll zoom ahead so they will have the left lane clear. (It is aggravating to be in the right lane and have a slow-poke in front of you and a damn car in the left lane that seems to be going at the same speed as you.)

I am a very courteous driver 99% of the time but will also pull way to the right to block the idiots wanting to pass stopped traffic.. The bad thing is it's bikers that also do it and they use either side.. LOL MOST people are good, but it just takes one to get me mad...

I meant on unprotected lefts... no lights, no stop signs, etc., two lanes, one going each direction. And they are exactly like people driving in the breakdown lane, because that's what they're doing, except here it's usually just called "off in the dirt" or "down in the gully," lol. The reason it gets on my nerves so much is because you never know what's in front of the other driver... there could be a little kid fallen off her bike in front of me and here's some smartass thinks he's going to save 4.2 seconds getting home by whipping around me instead of waiting. It's illegal to pass around on the right for a reason. It's dangerous.

Not only that, the idiot probably almost caused an accident. I've seen tractor trailer drivers do that before and I could just hug them when I see it.

We just spent yesterday driving from Orlando to Palm Beach to Huntsville, AL.....the day before that we spent at Epcot. I am flat worn out.

During our trip, we had a Fedex truck almost kill us on I-95 between Jax and St. Augustine. Surprising for a Fed ex driver...they usually seem to be good drivers. But this one had a double truck he was pulling (not sure what that is called?) and started moving over into our lane before the back part of his truck was clear of our car....scared me to death. Hubby had to brake and swerve into the left lane to avoid being hit. Luckily, there was no vehicle in the left lane.

The passing in the emergency lane thing....when we lived in Texas we saw this all the time. They would use the emergency lane or any drivable or semi drivable surface available to pass people or just entirely leave the freeway during a traffic jam. "Drive friendly" the signs in Texas said. Yeah, right, lol.

You're right, Neko... that sort of truck is called a double. My guess would be that the driver just started driving doubles and is used to the length of a single. In my experience tractor trailer drivers are the best drivers on the road... the best of the best are fuel truck drivers and superload drivers (illegal (permitted through each state) and escorted loads). It sounds like you were too busy responding to the situation, but the best thing to do if it is safe is to call the number on the back of the truck and give feedback... for everyone's safety.

YES, Texas seems to be THE WORST for passing in the emergency lane! I'd forgotten all about that.

I thought about calling after the incident but it was too late to get the Fed Ex truck's info. I agree that it must have been a driver new to hauling the extra truck. I don't know if he ever even realized that he almost hit us.

The stretch of Interstate 95, northbound, between Jacksonville and St. Augustine, is truly scary. People fly through that area. The problem seems to only be in the Northbound lanes and not the Southbound lanes. I don't know if people are rushing to get out of Florida or what???? But it seems that the crazies are always on that stretch of the road. After the Fed Ex incident, when we were driving back home yesterday, we got stuck in a traffic jam in that same area for around 45 minutes. Once we reached the problem area, there were several cars and a semi truck that had been involved in an accident. Not sure about any injuries, but it had traffic backed up for miles.

I would probably do the same thing as the pick up driver unless there was a spot closer to where I was going. Sometimes, IF I have something like coke or coffee with me when I see things like this, I spill it on the car and park someplace else..

I was following a lady in town today that apparently thinks that a turn signal is helping her during the turn... instead of notifying the rest of us... I just laughed. Those people that run on the side are irritating... but the clueless idiots in the left lane of the interstate on a sunday cruise really get me. If I have to go around them I use my right turn signal when I pull left in front of them... few get the clue.

I remember a pickup zoomed up behind me in the left lane (like he was going 30 or more over the limit), whipped to the right before I could get over there and passed me on the right.

He had huge letters in his back window that said "if I'm passing you on the right, you're in the wrong lane".

I was probably doing 10 over and the first time I saw him was when he was whipping it over to the right. Oh, well.

I used to have boat letters in my truck back window that said "hang up and drive", so I understand how people can be passionate about idiot drivers.
