| I swam the pass once from Pickens to Mcrae just make sure the tide is neap, or at peak high, you don't want it outgoing  | |

I had a young "best friend" that went with a group of boys paddling in a rubber raft to dive on the Massachusetts. This was in the 1960's. All four of them spooked on the outgoing tide and decided to swim for shore. The only thing that made it back to shore was the raft. | |
