I'm leery of posting this as fascism is sort of a forbidden topic. It's Such a horrible political pejorative that it almost has a comic book feel. But I think it's appropriate to discuss trump and his administration in those terms.
Most authorities (whom I respect) have said that trump is not really a fascist, more likely a right wing populist. I've never understood just which elements of fascism are missing from trump's ideology. In light of the events in recent days, I wonder if any of these scholars have reexamined their feelings.
