Philae has landed

No, that's not a pic from the surface. It was a few miles from Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko when this pic was taken.

Pics taken from the surface so far have been blurry because the camera was in motion.

I think I see stars..why were there no stars in the moon landing photos ?...because if there were people could have calculated that the moon landing pictures were taken ON EARTH !

If NASA went to such great lengths to fake a moon landing, don't you think they would have included stars in their pictures?

Nope stars would have been very difficult to do on a sound stage. They wod have to move constantly relative to the landers position and in concert with the sun. Better just leave them off

Disney can put stars in their pics and things. I think it's 100% that Obama's birth certificate is fake....

The lander bounced twice, initially about 1km back out into space, before settling in the shadow of a cliff, 1km from its intended target site.  It may be on it's side.


It may now be problematic to get enough sunlight to charge its battery systems.  The jet system that was supposed to apply downward pressure keeping it on the comet has failed as well as the grapple system failed to fire and the last anchoring system... screws in each foot... have not succeeded to grab a foothold.


In the comet's gravity, Philae weighs only about a gram.  Using the drill might just push it off the comet for good.  That risky maneuver (using the drill) will be saved for last, in case it terminates the "landing".

And the International Business Times website reports that Philae found organic molecules on the Comet.

Now, before you start thinking they found organisms or DNA or something... they found molecules with carbon in them... or, by some definitions, organic molecules have a carbon-hydrogen bond or a carbon-carbon bond. Simple organic compounds have been found on Mars as well.
