One local rural hospital, heavily in debt, is working tirelessly to keep their doors open.

Officials say they will be getting additional funds to help with their expenses next month, but say they are hoping they can hold on until then.

Campbellton-Graceville Hospital has been working its way out of nearly $1 million in debt for the last few months, but now the problem is spilling over to its employees.

"The hospital is struggling right now with cash, and we had payroll today, and uh we really don't have the funds in to make payroll," Hospital Administrator HD Cannington.

This is only in the last year.
