Max

This is a dog that a coworker found in the highway. She's been keeping him while looking for his owner or somebody to give him a permanent home. Today my daughter got his tags and tomorrow she will be taking him home to live with her....and her 4 cats, her conure, her chihuahua, her bearded dragon.

He looks mighty happy to be going!

We adopted him from the Mobile racing greyhound center.

Chance is just beautiful! Another friend who adopted Greyhounds had to teach them to lie on a dog bed and how to play.

BTW, Max is going tomorrow to be neutered and chipped. The vet thinks he is a Shepherd-Husky mix. My daughter will have her hands full with him, he loves to dig. That may be why he was roaming the streets and why nobody claimed him.

Our dog Bud is like that greyhound, in that he doesn't play like other dogs. He's not interested in squeaky balls, doggie toys, fetching the stick... at all. Well, sometimes he'll pick up something the other dog was interested in... but only to mess with the other dog's head.

When the boys have had a good meal, they'll chase each other through the house, and that usually lasts for 5-10 minutes. That's about the only playing Bud does.
