Now all they have to do is fill it up with ANFO and send it autonomously to the embassy with a cell phone trigger.

I've been researching the Subaru Outback with Eyesight. Doesn't steer or avoid collisions but it has adaptive cruise control and some warning/slowing capabilities:

Right now, no. At this time a human is supposed to ride in the passenger seat, a seat with some controls, in order to override the autonomous system should it fail.

With that in mind, I doubt that the human can be drunk.

Perhaps there are regions where the human override requirement isn't mandatory. If that is the case somewhere, why couldn't a rider be drunk?

When we get past this testing stage and folks are trusting of these things, there probably won't be many limitations on occupant behaviors.
