Rep John Conyers (D-MI) didn't get enough signatures on petitions for the Aug 5th Primary in Michigan. The 84 year old democrat was disqualified because state officials said several signatures were not registered voters as required.

For equality....a republican candidate was also disqualified because members of his staff turned in names of unregistered voters.

Sure this won't set well about Rep Conyers...he's the ranking member ( think creator) of the black caucus and the closest election he's had since 1964 was when he got ONLY 77% of the votes. Not so much a reflection on him but probably an incompetent staff... Also in Florida the independent candidate opposing the republican has dropped out of the race and Nancy Pelosi is upset and wants a democrat to be put on the ballot even though that's not the law...
