900,000 people raised out of the poverty level.
500,000 people losing their jobs.

One million or five hundred thousand jobs lost... it is still significant if you are one of those losing their job. But then again, good for those earning more. Even though more folks will be pulled out of the theoretical poverty line, it doesn't seem fair to cause half a million folks to lose their jobs.
