| A long read, but it is heartwarming http://www.azcentral.com/news/azliving/articles/2012/07/13/20120713bikers-against-child-abuse-make-abuse-victims-feel-safe.html?nclick_check=1 - Quote :
- If she is afraid to go to school, they will take her and watch until she's safely inside.
And if she has to testify against her abuser in court, they will go, too, walking with her to the witness stand and taking over the first row of seats. Pipes will tell her, "Look at us, not him." And when she's done, they will circle her again and walk her out.
"When we tell a child they don't have to be afraid, they believe us," Pipes says. "When we tell them we will be there for them, they believe us."

| Totally awesome.
My younger daughter works in child abuse and the stories are horrific.
I admire her so and admire all those who work for the cause.
I do volunteer work for the seniors....also abused.
It boggles the mind what some people "think".
Why can't we just be kind?

| VERY COOL.
I used to work with at-risk youth when I lived up in Humboldt... Man, some of the stories and the things those kids went through... just unbelievable that parents and other adults would do those sorts of things to kids in their families, their students, neighbors, etc. It was tough work. This group is performing a great service.
