2012 Preseason Poll Released Empty
PostSubject: 2012 Preseason Poll Released   2012 Preseason Poll Released EmptyThu Aug 02, 2012 2:45 pm

Are you kidding me? LSU #1 and Alabama #2. I believe that the best team in the nation this year will prove it on the field of play. Remarkably, I do not believe that team to be my beloved Sooners, noooooooooooooo, I am thinking the best team this year will be the USC Trojans.

Here's the full Tpo 25:

I have been to three or four LSU games because a friend of mine had a couple of kids go there. Man alive! Those coon-asses can PAAARRRRTY! The spreads they lay out for their tailgate parties are memorable.

I don't think USC will be it. Their head coach is that punk, Lane Kiffin, for one. Second, they are still under a heap of NCAA sanctions accrued under head coach Pete Carroll. They were banned from post season play during the last two Januaries, and should be able to play in January of 2013--but I don't see them roaring back any time too soon. Plus, the Pac-112 is not the strongest conference. Not like the SEC is, anyaway.

I don't know Z-man. They are coming off a 10-2 season last year with a lot of returning starters most notably Matt Barkley and excellent receiving corps. One of their losses was to powerhouse Stanford in triple OT. As for Lane Kiffin, yes he is an asshole, especially the way he deserted Tennessee, but that in itself does not mean he is a bad coach. I think he has one of the brightest minds as a head coach in the NCAA and is up there with the likes of Saban, Meyers, Miles and Stoops. I would not rule out USC just yet. Some of the polls have them pre-season #1.
