Property crimes [thefts and damages] are up 60.6%......

     If someone breaks into your dwelling and steals a firearm and the firearm costs less than $950 the crime for the theft of a firearm has been decriminalized and the violator may face a stiff penalty of a civil citation...

     The democrat/socialist wing [liberals here may be considered right wing] of the city council said that to go after the criminals responsible for the increase in crime...would be "an attack on the homeless....poor and illegals"....

     So, they know those responsible and yet are willing to accept the rise in crimes at the expense of law abiding...tax paying citizens...In SF it's compassionate to allow the homeless/mentally challenged/poor  and illegals to exist through criminal behavior?....

     This is not the SF Police...this is their city elected officials that are refusing to enforce laws on the books...guess this is an example of what an sanctuary city looks like and what happens when crimes are not enforced and decriminalized...

It's all of California, not just SF. Propostion 47 from 2014...

The only reason that SF was covered was that there is a big problem with the homeless/mentally challenged/and illegals and the reluctance of the city council to address the increase in property crimes that are being committed....It's the law abiding citizens that are becoming fed up with their property being damaged/stolen continually.....But for the council to make a statement like they did "an attack on the homeless...poor and illegals" certainly sends the message to the tax paying citizens of where the priority is for their protection....

And I read yesterday where if you steal food in Italy - and you are poor and hungry - it won't be a crime.

Understand the compassionate component....but to continue to do the same thing over and over and expect different results...well we all know what that is....
