Anyone out there watch this show? I think about half of America does and if you don't, you are missing something special.
I was very happy to see the young king die so horribly a couple of weeks ago. That was the best episode of the series so far, but Last night's was also special. We got to find out who really murdered the king and Jamie finally came forward and showed a decent side of himself that was always there, regardless of the fact that he slept with his sister, tossed a child out of the window of a castle and murdered hordes of good guys in the previous seasons.

That's the kind of show it is, you just never know what to expect.

At least now I know what the whitewalkers are doing to those babies. They're turning them into frozen blue eyed zombies like themselves.
I think everybody assumed they were eating them.

Yes, you do have to suspend your view of reality a little to enjoy the show, but it's more than worth it.

Too much killing for me.  I watched a couple of episodes.

Ironically, I watch Vikings, where there are a lot of battles, lol.

I still have the first season on my phone and may still watch it some more.

My other half asked me why I didn't watch Vikings if I like Game of Thrones. I guess it's just that we limit ourselves to a certain amount of series and if we watch too many we lose track of what's going on.

In the good old days you could watch one episode of a show and it was a story in itself. You didn't have to follow the whole series and keep up with what the characters did in the past. TV is more complicated now. That's why I like Netflix because I can watch a whole series at a time and don't have to remember from week to week what's going on.
Netflix is good for people with short attention spans like mine.

Maybe it is because my mind is going... where? I dunno... (If I knew where it went, I would go and get it, lol.)

Sometimes, I get so confused with which episode I need to see next. When I was watching Fringe, it sometimes didn't make a difference, sometimes it did when you skipped an episode. But with Vikings, it seems you can't miss an episode, and I have gotten behind. I'm afraid to watch any new episodes because I think I missed at least one. (I have them recorded on the DVR, so it isn't that big of a deal to sort them out... especially when they show the "originally aired" dates.)

Anybody else watching? I could not believe the war with the white walkers last night. And why is Arya bothering to turn into somebody else? We all liked her the way she was.
The best thing going is that Cersei is now in jail. That B has been asking for it the whole series.

I just caught up. So well done. Can't believe the twists in kings landing.

Btw... I'm a fan of the vikings too. I have a bad feeling it'll be canceled tho.

After last nights episode of Game, I'm not sure if I'd care if they canceled it too. I've watched this thing since the first because it was "edge of your seat" viewing, and I've put up with about half of the characters that were in the beginning being killed off.
Last nights killing of Jon Snow was the straw though. Of all the characters that they had us believing would be there in the end, he and Daenerys were the two that you expected to survive. After all, rumors were that they were the real Targarians and were the possible rightful rulers of the Kingdom. Now poor Jon is dead, so no more drama there. Tyrian is busy running some town in the North with the eunuch, so no more drama there. Stannis is dead which leaves the even more evil Boltons in control, so no more drama there. Arya has turned into a cold blooded killer, her sister has jumped off a tower, and the two Stark brothers haven't been seen since last season when one of them apparently turned into a bird. Even the witch has gone crazy. Or crazier, whatever.
IMO, no more Stark drama, nobody that I care about.

I guess when they beheaded Ned in the beginning I should have thought twice about continuing to watch. It's turned into a series about which character you love will die off before the end of the year. I can't see myself putting myself through all that next fall.

I wouldn't count Jon out yet. Maybe that witch (malisanda?) will bring him back like that guy the hound killed in the cave with the god of light. I guess ayra is blind now? I'll have to keep watching... I'm not sure what's happening with daenerys (sp) either. Crazy happenings with the lannisters too. Heck of a twisting season finale.

This is a pretty cool site that goes into great detail about each character and interactions. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

There are also rumors that he will turn into a white walker and lead the army of walkers against the South. This is supposed to happen after Daenerys takes over the place and it's her and the dragons against Jon and the white walkers. I hope that's not true because I'd hate to see those two pitted against each other.
In the theory the white walkers are the GOOD ones. That's just way weird.

It's pretty much the case that everyone in the South now needs to be obliterated though.

I am a huge Vikings fan but was never interested in Game of Thrones. I think it was the title of the show that threw me off and since I don't have tv I never bothered to investigate. Well since I've been off work for a few months for shoulder surgery I watched an episode and immediately binge-watched the entire show in three days, lol.

E, I am amused what there's too much killing in GOT for you but you watch Vikings... Shocked

I theorize that John Snow will not be dead-dead. He will have been borne of magical blood or something. He is too good to let die.

I can't wait until the next season starts!! bounce

I saw a photo online a couple of weeks ago that was Millisandra and Jon Snow. They were supposed to be working on next season's shows.
Jon Snow was dressed in his regular garb and definitely not a white walker. I guess Millisandra will bring him back to life. I also read that Lady Stoneheart may appear in next season's shows. She is Catlyn Stark and returns to life to avenge the murders of her family. She is an evil character according to the books. I read that they hadn't put her in the series yet because they did not want to sully Catlyn's memory, but she's definitely a part of the novels.
