You can't really be surprised... this pc crapola has been in the making for a long time. A schoolyard scrap is now a police matter. A child that eats his pop tart into a gun is suspended... makes a gun out of paper... even just pointing your finger. I'd say a briefcase with circuitry, wires, and a timer on 9/11 no less... is probably worse. The days of reasonable measures are gone... but they didn't disappear in an instant... it was a progressive process just like the loss of so many of our rights and liberties.

It's not the government's fault. It's the fault of Americans who voted over and over again for candidates who used fear and promises to Keep Us Safe as campaign platforms. All that "Keeping Us Safe" has eroded our Constitutional rights to the point we hardly have any anymore.
We're pretty close to being a police state.

It just goes on and on. The last Republican debate showed Jeb Bush claiming his brother "kept us safe." Nobody on the platform popped up and said 911 happened when your brother was in office. Not even Donald Trump. Hey, not even Rand Paul. He's usually pretty on the spot about those things. He didn't even mention how un-American the patriot act was. I guess he was either asleep or still offended about what Trump said about his looks.

While you have good points about Rand Paul, how is he not ahead in the polls? I cannot get tv and struggle by with crappy hotspot "internet" at my cabin, so I just now read the debate. In the past I have criticized him for not being more like his daddy, but for the most part the rest of them sound nuts and he sounds like the voice of reason.

Why does he not appeal to more people? ...Anyone?

Ricey, I will give Rand Paul a serious look-see. He does say some good things... but, he ain't his daddy.

I really don't like being flooded with e-mails. He got my e-mail address somehow and he started sending me unsolicited e-mails. I block his address and he sends mails from different addresses, circumventing my blocks. I have 5 or 6 blocks on him and keep getting mail sent from new addresses. That kinda pisses me off.

Still, he will get a fair amount of consideration, nonetheless.

I use wild cards to reject SERVERS, which will block all senders on that server. He jumps to other servers like Carter has liver pills.
