I never knew cats could be trained as service animals, but after saving his owner's life, Pudding the cat underwent training to become a service cat.

From the story:

"Pudding took to his new family immediately, curling up with Jung in bed for the evening. A few hours later, Jung, who has diabetes, began having a seizure. Pudding then jumped on her chest and started nipping at her nose. Now fully awake, Jung was paralyzed and unable to save herself. She did manage to say her son’s name once. That’s when the shelter cat became a rescue cat."
