Anybody using Linux?

I learned the other night that Linux can easily be loaded from the Ubuntu site. I saw a brief demonstration, and Linux is much faster than Windows. Are any of you using it?

EDIT: If you download Linux to a thumb drive, you can run it on a desktop without actually installing it. It looks really cool, and it's easier to navigate than Windows.

Every review that I have read is that Linux is more suspect to viruses and trojans than Windows.

I used to know some Unix commands when I had a dumb terminal at my desk in the late 1980's, I think. Might have been the early '90's. Anyway, the short answer for me and Linux is "no".

I'll bet you that Alecto can tell you about it. I once thought I was tech savvy, but he posts some stuff that shows a LOT of experience. He has been deleted from here because of inactivity, but you can find him at Pensacola Discussion...

I know. The infighting there got really out of hand over the last week or so. It's ridiculous, and I feel bad for Boards. I've noticed there isn't as much participation over there right now.

Eric I don't believe that Chrissy got the axe. She was so belligerent and vulgar this past weekend and was fighting with W_T_M. Boards called her and W_T_M out for the fighting. She got pissed and stated that this was not the forum(Will's, not ours) for her. After that she bid everyone adieu and then made a few more posts under the Guest screen name.
